What issues might I encounter while filling out the DTAC upon arriving in Thailand?

Question

I have just filled out my DTAC , for arrival in Thailand on 2nd June, it would not except my date of departure, which is 1st June, I know it’s not going to be a problem (I hope) and it didn’t let me enter where I was staying, so I left it blank and carried on, it really isn’t the best app, very fiddly, any one else had similar

Users have reported various issues with the DTAC app when completing their arrival forms for Thailand, particularly around selecting departure dates and entering accommodation information. While some found the app straightforward, others faced bugs and anomalies, especially when trying to input dates that conflicted with their travel plans. Comments suggested that the app may not ask for all required information and that it could improve usability over time.

I had the exact same problem with my departing date which was today 30th Fri 30 may( actually on flight as I text) and my arrival 31may.I must have put in a half a dozen time and just had wouldn't accept my arrived date as 31.So I just put the 30 th which was a lie.I then though I better go back and just fill it out once again just incase the Thai custom fail me.Suprise! Suprise! It then accepted the proper dates.Depart 30th today.Arrive 31.

It’s not properly tested there are bugs / anomalies. Mate of mine went to Cambodia for a short break. He filled it in as a land crossing and vehicle was by car, it then wouldn’t progress unless he filled in a flight number, so made one up, then it wanted his departure date from Thailand. He’s lived here 15 years so made up a date. It generates a QR code and passing through immigration they didn’t have a scanner so he had to give the officer all of the details again. I’m sure it will settle down eventually.

Jeez. It's an "arrival" form. Date you arrive in Thailand and, possibly date you leave thailand.

Michael ******* · Answer

Probably doesn’t help if you complete at Wetherspoons at the airport 🙂
