4/5 Weeks for DTV application from London embassy?!
Hi guys, after waiting ages, I managed to get through to the Thai embassy in London via phone call.
After asking a few questions about the Visa, I finished by asking how long processing would take expecting her to say a few days or a week or two tops.
But instead, she said it would be about 4-5 weeks! I wasn’t expecting that. I told her I’ve heard of people getting it within a few days online. But her answer didn’t change.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Thai embassy in London indicates that the processing time for a DTV visa application is approximately 4-5 weeks, which was unexpected for many who anticipated a quicker turnaround. Community members have shared varying experiences, with some having received their visas in as little as 2 to 3 weeks, while others are still pending after 4 weeks. The longer processing times may be influenced by an increase in applications and upcoming holiday seasons, and officials likely suggest longer timeframes to prevent frustration if delays occur.
The last time we applied for a client in Thai embassy in London was April and it took 2 weeks then get the visa.
Maybe due to more applications now time can stretch... or maybe she is giving the flexibility to the system so you won't annoy them hy calling or coming every 3 days... so if you got the visa before time she said, . You will feel super happy... and if delay then ( you have been informed)
