What should I do if my Non-O visa application approval is still pending before my flight?
Hello all. Does anybody have any experience with the Thai embassy in Brussels Belgium? I applied for a Non-O retirement on august 24. I am flying on October 1. The status of my evisa is still 'approval pending '. Is there a possibility that my evisa will arrive too late?

What I did was booked a flight to Thailand entered the country on a 30 day passport. Then I went to Thai immigration and got a O retirement visa within 5days each year go back to Thailand immigration for a new O retirement visa renewal takes 2days and if you renew the visa yourself it’s only 1,900 baht

Nigel Tucker: "a 30 day passport"? What's that? In any case, the 'Non-O' visa does not get renewed, the allowed period of stay gets extended. It's strange that so many people do not understand what is actually happening.

OPNigel Tucker I tried that last year. The immigration office told me it was no longer possible to apply for a non-O visa when in Thailand.

I had the same thing in Australia. It was issued less than 36 hours before departure. I guess they were waiting until closer to my departure date to issue the visa.

Wij ook visa o gevraagd op 1 september geen visa tot nu gebeld naar brussel en daar zeggen ze je moet geduld hebben ?Gelezen op thailand blok tussen 4 en 5 weken verwerkingstijd....

Voor extra documenten te vragen zijn ze er altijd snel bij. Maar om nadien een approval te krijgen wachten ze steeds tot het laatste moment. Zo werken ze al jaren dus dat komt wel goed. Ik zit ook te wachten op mijn visum.

Bad experience..my first ask for O visa was refuse ..reason : the say my middle name was not spel correct and prove of salary they cannot read ..but the computer accept and not say it was unreadable. The money is not refundable so gone.
They send me the refuse 5 days before my travel . Ask for it 4 weeks before going to Thailand.
I pay again the 80 euro and ask again for O visa.
One day before my flight they send my the approve.

OPSue Heimchen yes, they don't give updates on a visa application by mail or phone. You have to check the website.
