What is the TDAC and how does it relate to entry into Thailand?

Hi.

Is the DTAC only for 30 days entry.

I’m guessing I can extend at immigration office.

Any one experienced this yet. Thank you ☀️

TLDR : Answer Summary
The TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) is a mandatory arrival card for all travelers entering Thailand who are not Thai citizens. It is not a visa and does not determine the duration of stay, which is decided by the type of visa or entry stamp received upon arrival. The TDAC can be obtained for free online and is irrelevant to the length of stay; it is primarily for entry into the country.

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

Only go to the TDAC page via link from the Thai Embassy in your country, then you will end the right place.

Or you could just go here and bypass the need to search for a link on a website that was probably not updated to include it yet.

It's for arriving. Nothing to do with visa, or no visa or duration. It's a free landing card. It says on the form. "Thailand Digital Arrival Card". For arriving in Thailand, any arrival, every time anyone arrives.

There is a website called ivisa that is heavily promoting their services on Google AdWords. They claim to offer the TDAC that lasts for 30 days on arrival but charge a fee of $160.

I have no idea how anyone can get scammed so easily but it obviously pays for them to promote their services so heavily.

TDAC is free.

***for one, it is TDAC and not DTAC. The DTAC is a Thai mobile phone provider

***the TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) must be submitted within 3 days from the intended entry into Thailand.

***the TDAC is mandatory for EVERY traveller to Thailand who is not a Thai citizen. It is irrelevant how long this traveller intends to stay

apologies. My dyslexia kicks in now and again 😂

It’s an arrival card. It’s irrelevant how many days you may stay. Visas or entry stamps determine how long you can stay.

@Stuart ********
To clarify please. I fill out dtac, then I can stay for 60 day exempt.

Cheers Stuart

it's for arriving. Any arrival. It has no time limit because you've ARRIVED. That's all it's for.

@Alan ********
the TDAC is an arrival card. Everyone must fill this out online every time time they want to enter Thailand.

This has nothing to do with a visa, visa exempt or the number of days you want to stay.

If you are from a country that is visa exempt, then you will get a 60 day stay stamp.
Stuart *********
If you’re on a site that is charging you for a TDAC that’s for 30 days you’re on the wrong site. It’s a scam page.

This is the official site. It’s good for 10 days or 1000 days.
