Hi everybody!
I renewed my passport at my embassy and got the paper that states so and I’m heading to immigration to get my current stamp in to my new passport. So some questions.
1. Is there any costs at immigration doing so?
2. Do I get it the same day or do I have to wait?
3. Is there any more forms to fill in expect the one I already got from my embassy?
Thanks in advance.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The process of transferring a stamp from an old passport to a new one at Thai immigration is generally free of charge, and usually completed on the same day. You will need to present the renewal paper from your embassy and may have to fill out an additional form. Some locations, like Bangkok, may have longer wait times due to limited processing desks.
