Somebody tells me the process of DTV cancellation..

- is that possible to cancel in Chaing Mai Immigration? If not, we have to go to Bangkok Immigration..

- What documents is most necessarily? Eg- all the documents what we had applied for the DTV before..

- How long it took time in waiting to complete the cancellation process?

Thanks each of you who has attention on my questions.. 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking information about cancelling their DTV visa in Thailand, specifically if it's possible to do so at the Chaing Mai Immigration office or if they need to go to Bangkok. They also inquire about the necessary documents for the cancellation process and how long it typically takes to complete this process. Not the exact same situation as I was on O Retirement when I needed it cancelling to leave country for a B to get a WP. I could only have the O cancelled at the issuing office. No idea the DTV process and not seen the process published.

Well first of all if you have all the right documentation there will be no issue at all.

In terms of canceling it yourself should be durable at any Immigration office.

Thirdly, the thing you’re mentioning about Chiang Mai is very correct, they have been interviewing and overseeing documentation. But the wording for the visa goes like this: you need 500k in your account when applying for your visa, there is no requirement to keep that 500k in your account and the other rule that comes into place are Tourist must be able to show 20k bath in instant access or cash to make sure you can sustain yourself while in Thailand.

But for now entering Thailand the smoothest appears to be through BKK airport.

Typically, Immigration doesn’t cancel visas issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. However, DTV is such a long lasting visa. It is an unknown.

Vast grey area. Nobody knows for sure. But I would ask the Ministry of foreign affairs, not the immigration office.
