Has anyone had any experience applying for a non-B visa at the Thai embassy in Lisbon, Portugal? Do they have a residency requirement as part of the B visa application?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses experiences with applying for a Non-B visa at the Thai embassy in Lisbon, Portugal. It highlights challenges in communication with the embassy, recommendations to phone for information, and uncertainty regarding residency requirements for visa applicants. Users share their frustration with the embassy's lack of responsiveness and outdated website information, while one user seeks clarity on the residency aspect for Brazilian staff traveling to Thailand.
It turns out that the embassy does not answer emails either since the new Brazilian staff have tried repeatedly to get a response from them. This sounds like it would be better to avoid this embassy

I like the way applicants are also informed of said interview ๐คซ
So great I have to call back in December for a visa for January ie it has to be a month before flying - then they will schedule an appointment for approx 2 weeks after the phone call.

Just looked on the website. Other than a standard visa application form, I cannot see anything there regarding visas at all

Non B as in Business or Teaching? Are you a resident of Portugal? What is your passport nation?

Hi James, I have two Brazillian staff who will be arriving in Thailand in the middle of November. Currently they work in the Caribbean and they will be travelling through Portugal on their way to Thailand. Since the father of one of the new staff lives in Portugal and they will be visiting with him before flying onwards. Unfortunately I do not currently know what the residency requirements are at the Thai Embassy in Lisbon. FYI both staff will be applying for Non B employment visas with company paperwork and WP3 letters.
