TLDR : Answer Summary
When seeking a visa invitation letter for a 3-month Non-B visa from a Thai company, it should include confirmation of employment, your job title, and acknowledgment by the company that you will be applying for the visa at the relevant consulate. The letter must be printed on company letterhead, include a company stamp, and be signed by a director.

The letter must confirm that you are going to work in that company with a work permit, that the company is aware that you are going to that consulate to apply for the Non B visa. Your job title must be in the letter. On company papers with company stamp. Signed by a director.

, you are correct, because usually there are three categories which they will issue a Non-B visa for. Conducting Business, Teaching, Work other than teaching.

I just don't see many people getting that Non-B based on the "conducting business here"

is it a different visa then? It doesn’t have to be in SEAsia, it would be for a persons home/resident country. When I was first considering moving to Thailand an attorney wrote an invitation letter for me explaining to the embassy I was exploring business opportunities in Thailand, I actually got that visa in Singapore at that time-was about 5 years ago.

you are incorrect (at least concerning the thai consulates in S/E Asia) :/ Most will NOT accept an application for a Non-B visa without a receipt of the applicant having applied for a work permit at the Ministry of Labour FIRST.

The only consulate in the area that will issue a 90 day Non-B without that receipt is the one in Hong Kong.

that’s incorrect, it’s very common for people to get this non b for 3 months before obtaining their work permit.

Don't know where you want to go for application of the Non Immigrant B Visa, but almost every Thai Consulate/Embassy in the region require also the WP3 form (Work Permit is applied) or a valid work permit to hand out this Visa.

This link is the type of letter I’m looking for, but need a copy of one that is updated and used successfully then. It’s basically a letter you can use to invite someone to come to Thailand to explore job and work opportunities, there is not a work permit required for this.

I’m the managing director, a very small company. Would like to compare what we are writing to others that have had success.
