Hello, I am asking for a friend who was given 7 days to leave Thailand and she plans to apply for Non-B visa at Phnompenh. Has anyone been to Cambodia for a Non-B recently and care to share the process/experience there? Appreciate your input.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the process for a friend applying for a Non-B visa after being given 7 days to leave Thailand. Community members shared that having the necessary paperwork from a prospective employer is crucial, as the Non-B visa cannot be obtained without a job offer. The processing time at the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh is typically around 5 days, but expedited processing may be available. It's recommended to apply for an e-visa before entering Cambodia, and to ensure all required documents are prepared for the visa application.

the posted turn around time for visa applications is 3 days (turn it in day one pick it up TWO days after that) but they have been processing some really fast, turn it in, get it the next day.

Also remember that consulate has really strict requirements for certain nationalities (can take up to a month for the visa) so check that on the website.

As long as she has her thai pass, entry requirements to thailand sorted out she can leave as soon as she gets the thai visa sticker in her passport. She's comin' in with a REAL visa and is unlikely to get any grief at all comin' back at passport control when she stamps in

If she has all the paperwork from the company that is going to hire her then she won't have any problem, but she must have a job. She can't just get a type B visa without having a job first.

yes she's a teacher and has all the papers with her, tho she wants to know how long she needs to stay in Cambodia if she will get Non-B + other requirements.

thanks for the reply
