What is the process and requirements for applying for a DTV visa from New Zealand?

Joanna Lima how did you get on? Someone commented that one spelling error could be costly if we lose our application fee but I have also read it is more likely to get be successfully approved from our home country. Have you managed to get it over the line?

Would recommend applying at Vientiane in Laos (cost $527 NZD) and explore Laos to 2 weeks until acceptance which I did recently when I got accepted on the 10 February, cost me less around $2000 for a two week holiday including the visa cost, all applications are online and require you to pay cash (10,000 Thai baht) In person at the embassy, they may ask for a interview after 2 weeks for any questions relating or if your application is clear they will send you a email of confirmation, the 500,000 baht doesn’t need to be there for awhile as long as it is there when you apply until the process is complete they won’t have a problem with it.

I’m a Kiwi and specifically did mine somewhere else that $2000 if you get rejected is a very big costly mistake just so you know you can get rejected by a simple spelling mistake or a date of birth incorrect injury it’s ruthless they don’t care you also don’t get an explanation do you actually want to spend another $2000

My suggestion is flight of Bangkok flight of Vietnam go to Lau or wherever Vietnam would be my choice and you’re looking at 500 bucks

As far as the money goes it should be in your bank account for a minimum absolute of three months but preferably six

Can’t answer how long it takes but it’s crazy expensive there. NZ$2,000 compared to getting from somewhere around the region. Typically around $400-700 depending on embassy.
