So when you enter into Thailand and have to show proof of onward travel and 20000 baht, is it equivalent too, or you actually need Baht?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When entering Thailand, travelers are typically required to show proof of onward travel and a minimum amount of 20,000 Baht per person or 40,000 Baht per family. It's important to clarify whether this amount must be in Thai Baht or can be equivalent in other currencies.
