Hi, is this true information that I will need 20 KTHB in cash if I want ro enter Thailand via road from Laos to show it to the immigration officer? If yes, how much for a family of 4? Thanks

This has always been on the books. But it is rarely instituted. Depends of immagration officer and certain perceived factors they have. But if asked if you have a credit card or a thai ATM card...it should be enough.

wrong. They will only ask you this is they want to deny you entry and it must be CASH. Bank statement, banking app, credit or debit cards will not work. Cash only.

It depends on what visa you are using to enter, and if your passport has a history of long stays on a tourist visa or visa exempt, or any covid extension stamps in it.

Normally this is not asked for, but it is a requirement to enter on visa exempt or tourist visa.

Here is an excerpt from the Thai embassy in Washington DC's website stating 20,000 baht per person or 40,000 baht per family.
