TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is inquiring about the time frame for renewing their retirement visa extension in Hua Hin. Responses indicate that in various locations like Chiang Mai and Bangkok, one can apply for extensions when there are 45 days or less remaining on the current visa stamp, while most other places, including Prachuap Khiri Khan, allow renewals at 30 days or less.

Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Buriram, Phuket, Chiang Rai and a couple other ones (Surat Thani/Samui maybe) all allow people to apply for extensions when they have 45 days or less left on their current stamp.

everyone else is 30 days
