TLDR : Answer Summary
There is no specific late fee for extending an entry stamp in Thailand. Once your entry stamp has expired, you are considered to be in overstay. The penalty for overstaying is a fine of 500 baht per day, which can accumulate up to a maximum of 20,000 baht if the overstay exceeds 40 days.

when did your current entry stamp expire and what extension are you looking to get?

The immigration office on Soi Suan Plu in Bangkok houses the IDC <- Immigration Detention Center and thei office there is open for Burmese, Cambodianz, Laotianz, and Malayz ONLY.

If your company is not a BOI company (meaning you can use Cham Churi Square's One Stop Service Center) you go to the main immigration office out at government complex on Chaengwattana Road

I don’t think

that is the immigration office where you can receive “normal” visa or extension services.

That’s is an immigration detention center or some other immigration related facility I guess.

Is this really open on Sunday? I just find it odd and would like to know for sure before I go.

you wouldn't lose days of extension if you are going there in advance. Immigration officer adds +30 days from your last day of current stamp. (But you better to make it sure when you get the extension)

I would say do your very best to get in there in to get your extension.

What you don't need or want is an overstay stamp in your passport. :O There's already one consulate in the area that won't give tourist visas if you have an overstay stamp in your passport.

If that isn't motivation enough to get in and get the extension before your current stamp expires I don't know what is ;)

Oh ok it expires on the 31st I will just do my best to make it before then. I’m just looking to get an additional 30 days for now.

there is no late fee for an entry stamp extension because once the date passes by you're on overstay :O

The overstay fine is 500baht a day and maxes out at 40 days overstay for 20K baht fines.
