Entered BKK with a renewed passport. Handed over both passports and printed DTV to immigration officer, and mentioned the DTV was issued on old passport. He only said “Ah ok”. No further questions, 6 months granted!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user shared their experience entering Bangkok with a renewed passport, mentioning that they presented both the old and new passports along with a printed DTV (Digital Tourist Visa), which was issued on the old passport. The immigration officer accepted this without further inquiries, granting a 6-month stay. Additionally, a commenter expressed surprise at the lack of a long interview and document checks, while another inquired about budget travel options for a short trip to secure a new stamp.

First DTV exit end of January. What's the best option for a roughly 5-7 day trip?

Prefer to keep it cheap as it's just for getting a new stamp. Been to Da Nang and Hanoi already.
