Q: With a Non OA retirement visa I appreciate the 800,000 Bht being held in a bank account for a single retiree. However, if one was to retire with 2x dependents (1x partner & 1x school age child), what would the required total to be held in the bank? Thanks in advance ......

TLDR : Answer Summary
For a Non-OA retirement visa holder with dependents, the primary visa holder must maintain the same financial requirement of 800,000 Baht in their bank account. The partner cannot obtain a 'trailing spouse' extension unless they are married, but they may apply for an O visa as the child of the primary visa holder. The child can receive an ED visa for schooling.

, if child is on Non-ED from international school and that partner is her legal parent with appropriate funds in Thai bank, it's possible.

The financial requirements for the Non-OA visa wouldn't change in the least.

The primary visa holder would need the 800K baht (if they're using banked money method to get extensions in country after the OA visa runs its course)

You mention partner but don't say 'wife', and there is no option for an unmarried partner to get a 'trailing spouse' visa or extension from the OA visa you hold.

The school age child could get an ED visa to attend school

or

an O visa based on being the child of an OA visa holder <- that visa would have to be purchased the same time as you get your OA visa from the thai consulate in your country though).

your wife can't get an in country Non-O visa based on trailing spouse to a retirement visa holder inside the country, BUT assuming you found a place to get the 90 day Non-O for her and had the documentation required for the trailing spouse of a retirement visa holder she would not require funds of her own

, would you clarify what exact reason for Non-O (retirement, dependent on a foreigner with Non-ED, dependent on a foreigner with Non-B, dependent on Thai spouse, etc, etc... ) and when you applied in KL?

other than they couldn't get the ED visa before they come here no. you'd need to get them here, get them enrolled in a school, get the documentation THEN apply for the in country Non-ED visa

Where as IF you got them a 90 day Non-O visa based on being the child of a foreigner holding an OA visa when YOU get your visa, they'll come in, get 90 days, and then you go to the immigration office and get them a year extension that matches your year entry stamp
