Hey DTV crazies, went through bangkok international today. DTV visa activated no questions no asks. 180 day approved.

I must say I took the advice of a member whereby laminated the DTV visa, had a print out od the Tdac done, i even went as far as to use a wet wipe to clean the finger print machine so that it read my very bad fingers properly.

Dont be nervous peeps, the Thai people are just wanting what is right for them. If it is cutting back in visa jumpers then so be it.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shares their positive experience of activating their DTV visa at Bangkok International Airport with no issues, emphasizing that preparation is key. They followed advice from the community by laminating their visa, bringing a printout of the TDAC, and ensuring their fingerprints were readable. Several comments provide additional insights, including differing opinions on lamination, timelines for application processing, and reassurances regarding the DTV visa.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

No surprises there considering there shouldn't be any issues with the DTV.

It's a great way to preserve the DTV Visa you received from the Thai Embassy or Consulate where you applied for it. And use it for the 5 years of the DTV visa.

The kids another 10 working days with the partner taking a mere day.

When a document is missing do they send a notification email or do they only inform you on the DTV website?

allow 2 weeks, HCMC is great, just avoid any Thai public holidays, as that could extend the time. If you provide everything and are not asked to submit further documentation you might get notified within 5-7 days. Just ensure you don't leave the country you applied at during the process!

Laminated nonsense. Not needed at all. Thais do not laminate documents like this. When in Rome…

สมองควาย ๒๕๖๘ Laminating can even make the document less good to scan because of reflections, so indeed not necessary.

I think a lot of people don't realize that it is not only cute, but might be more difficult to scan, because size and reflections.

สมองควาย ๒๕๖๘ lamination keeps the document reusable.

Pretty sure they give it back to you anyway.
