TLDR : Answer Summary
When making a land border crossing at Nong Khai, travelers typically receive different durations of stay based on their visa type: 45 days for visa-exempt entries, 90 days for multi-entry non-immigrant visas, the remainder of stay with a re-entry permit from an extension, or 60 days with a multi-entry tourist visa.

because the tgai government has granted 45 days up until 31 march 2023. Then it reverts back to 30 days. Both have a 30 day extension

Because some people think every person in the world is legit for the Visa Exempt Entry and they do not care about giving correct information.

currently you would get 45 days for a visa exempt entry, 90 days for a multi-entry non-immgrant visa, the remainder of your permission to stay if entering with a re-entry permit for an extension, or 60 days with a multi-entry tourist visa.
