I've just been told work permit photos need a white background, not a blue one - is this correct? I've been hearing a lot of conflicting reports about background colour.

TLDR : Answer Summary
There seems to be confusion regarding the required background color for work permit photos in Thailand. Some expats have provided conflicting information: while some report that their work permit photos were accepted with a white background, others have mentioned they used a blue background. Additionally, there have been discussions about different size requirements, with some suggesting that work permit photos should be smaller than regular visa photos, while others disagree. The consensus seems to recommend checking with the relevant authorities or photo service for the most accurate requirements.
My WP pic is on a white background. When applying for a Visa or extention they want a blue background.

Right photoshopped: smaller, blue background, the FugiFilm gal put my head on a white shirt, tie and jacket - strange looking me - but the Labor Ministry didn't blink,

That's the first time I've heard it had to be smaller than a normal visa photo. Larger, yes, but never smaller.

Also, didn't know - had to dress up professionally. Luckily, the photo guy had a variety of suits to put on.
