I'm extending my visa through work tomorrow. That requires 4 x 6 cm. photo. After contact, I plan on re-entering with a SETV, getting a couple re-entry permits and travelling around for a 1-2 months before returning home. Also requires photos.

Various information says 4 x 6 cm. Also, I hear 3.5 x 4.5 cm. I would like to just go to the photo shop once and get photos for the rest of my time and be good. Would 4 x 6 cm or 3.5 x 4.5 cm work best for getting SETV and re-entry permits?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on the dimensions needed for passport photos when extending their visa through work and applying for a Single Entry Tourist Visa (SETV) in Thailand. They mention conflicting information on whether to use 4 x 6 cm or 3.5 x 4.5 cm photos. A comment suggests using 4 x 6 cm and cutting them down if necessary, highlighting that requirements can vary between consulates and immigration offices.

That's gonna totally depend on what thai consulate you're using to get the tourist visa AND what thai immigration office you're using to get the extension of stay.

Get 4X6 and cut them down if you have to. ;) The good thing is photos are cheap. :P Get both if you're worried.

, usually the places are all fine with those 4 X 6 cm ones.

Ahhh I love the convenience! You're right, it's cheap. I may just load up and get 6 of each. For some reason, I get nervous about cutting the 4 x 6 cm if it wouldn't work for them, but hopefully they won't be too picky.
