I have a question regarding the dependent visa on the DTV. Should it be classified as a Non-O visa, or it should be a DTV valid for five years? My friend received dependent visa based on the DTV, and her e-visa is Non-Immigrant and issued for one yearđł Any idea?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The dependent visa associated with the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) is expected to be labeled as a DTV valid for five years. However, there is confusion as the friend's visa is classified as a Non-Immigrant visa for only one year. This discrepancy may arise from the way the visa was applied for or categorized during processing.
Totally NOT the correct visa and if they do have a Non-O visa it's only a single entry and when they came into thailand they would have gotten stamped in for 90 days. <- that's how that visa works and there is no year-multi-Non-O from thai consulates with eVisa systems
When they applied for the trailing spouse DTV are you sure they used THIS choice ?

Please give a complete accounting for their story. Who what where when why.
Yes, my friends used an agency for their visas. The husband received a DTV, while the wife received a Non-O visa. However, I was mistaken in my post. the Non-O visa is valid for three months, not one year. The agency claims this is correct, but I have been researching about DTV visa for dependents, because I want my child to obtain a DTV under mine. And if I understand correctly, the dependent should receive a visa valid for five years as well. Their situation seems quite questionableđłđ
they got taken to the cleaners. Maybe they weren't specific enough, they wanted a dependent DTV visa based on being the spouse of a primary DTV holder. They can apply again, but don't use an agent, and certainly not the one they previously used. Why did they use an agent, what country were they in when they applied?
- You are correct. Your friendâs visa should look the same as her husbandâs. Non-Immigrant O is literally a different type of visa that can be offered for retirees, volunteers, dependents of others with an O (hence why I asked about her husbandâs visa), and family members of Thai nationals (usually foreign spouse of Thai national).
