I've applied for a Nomad Visa and set the 'intended exit date' for May 2025. However I may want to stay longer after all. Will the visa be valid for the usual 3 years, or only until the date I entered in the application?

Many thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Nomad Visa, often referred to as the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV), is valid for five years from the issuance date, regardless of the intended exit date specified in the application.

Assume you are talking about the DTV as there is no digital nomad visa.

The DTV is valid for 5 years from the date it is issued. It doesn't matter what dates you put on the application, it's a 5 year visa.

it might matter which dates you put on the application, as some embassies simply reject visa with an expected entry date over 3 months from current date.

that's between you and the embassy. But visas are effective from the day they are issued regardless of what's on the application.

it is just a warning, because the fee is not refundable when rejected for this reason
