The discussion around the best travel insurance for Australians traveling to Thailand suggests that policy selection should take into account the specifics of your trip, such as duration and activities like skydiving or motorbiking. Recommendations include contacting Arawan Namak for personalized options tailored to your visa type and needs. Popular insurance providers mentioned are AXA Sawasdee Thailand and LUMA, both offering varying coverage options, including COVID-19 protection. It is also suggested to ensure that the insurance policy covers upfront hospital bills and motorbike accidents if relevant.

AXA works. My only regret was I probably bought more than I needed. I intend to come and stay as long as possibly, making my return flight useless. I probably could have gotten away with buy only 1 month insurance.

Credit card complimentary travel insurance because it is free.
She will find best insurance for you. Depends on type of visa, age and your personal requirements. I wanted asymptomatic cover, direct payment to hospital and cover for motorbike accident. Not all policies have those.
has helped over 3,500 expats with the correct insurance to enter and stay in Thailand. She has both the AXA Sawadee Thailand and the LUMA Tune Thailand insurance policies.
And...both will pay if COVID positive with or WITHOUT SYMPTOMS.
I was there in Oct/Nov and had no problem with the COE but this time and went through 'Tune' which I'm pretty sure had everything covered .. I want to make sure my Insurance is spot on .. exactly the way that u described yours đź‘Ťđź‘Ť
I keep my feet firmly on the ground or in a taxi .
However I have got on the back of a few so maybe that would be a good idea 🙂

Best to find one that settles your hospital bill without you paying upfront.

That depends on what you’re doing and how long you’re staying! Are you skydiving, scuba diving and riding a motorcycle, if so it’s best if you’re covered! Some have a limit of 30 days, if you’re staying longer, it’s best if you’re covered!
