Hello everybody πŸ™‚

Does anybody knows a serious Company that sells 9 months travel insurance? Its a single trip from Oslo to Thailand and I Will stay in Thailand all the time. Very very expensive in Norway, so I was hoping that anybody knows a good one in Thailand.

Then its more easy if something happens of course. I am 59 years old.

By the way......AXA have only 180 days max

Many thanks in advance!

Wish you all a good weekend πŸ™‚

TLDR : Answer Summary
A community member is seeking advice on where to find a reliable company that offers 9 months of travel insurance while staying in Thailand. It's noted that AXA has a maximum coverage of 180 days, prompting the search for alternatives. Several recommendations include World Nomads, Genki, and using Checkdi for comparing policies. Other responses suggest considering options from Norway for better coverage regarding transport or repatriation.

Buy in Norway, since it will cover transport back to Norway in case of severe damage or death, and / or bringing relatives to Thailand.

Things that cost X00.000.

Have a look on Checkdi (Was Mr Prakan)for all your Thailand insurance requirements

You can compare policies and prices in it from the leading providers

I used them to get my Pacific cross policy, easy to deal with and then I renewed for a second year.

Look at Genki. More of a Nomads insurance so wont cover bags etc but all medical covered. Can pay monthly and cancel when u want. I have a referral code should u want it

I just searched the silver policy. Noticed a few things regarding age and duration.

The maximum age for single trip policyholders is 75 and the maximum age on annual policies is 65.

Within the annual policy, the single trip limit is 31 days. Single trips can be up to 60 days in duration (or 31 days for policyholders aged 61 or over).

Most 1 year travel insurance policies only cover you for 3 months at a time, if your here for over 3 month continuous stay you'll be better with medical insurance
