Greetings ๐Ÿ™

Anyone have recent experience of applying for DTV from Indonesia or Malaysia?

I'm spending February on Lombok and March in Johor Bahru.

Got to decide where to apply from. Need to consider processing times and possibility of attending an interview (Jakarta/KL).

Alternatively I could just apply for a Thailand tourist visa while in Malaysia. This would be necessary because of my recent travel history (no further exemptions).

And then apply for a DTV from the UK in the summer.

Grateful for any insights ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around experiences applying for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) from Indonesia and Malaysia. One user mentions that Malaysia is a challenging place to apply from, while another suggests that Indonesia offers a smoother application process with a quicker turnaround, typically around 10 business days, and fewer interview requirements.

Indonesia much more easier to apply from than Malaysia. Around 10 business days for the process in Indonesia, interviews are not that common.
