TLDR : Answer Summary
Applying for a Non B visa at the Thai embassy in Sri Lanka can be a lengthy and challenging process. One user reported it took almost a month to receive their visa, primarily due to the high volume of applications. The embassy processes around 100 applications daily, and applicants are advised to arrive early, as late arrivals may miss out on submitting their applications altogether. Overall, experiences suggest that the embassy can be difficult to navigate, leading some to recommend avoiding it if possible.

All Sri Lankans have to get preapproved visit visas. They cater for 100 applications per day and should you arrive after 5am for the doors to open at 9am then you have little hope of submitting your application that day. It took me almost a month in Colombo to get my first non B for here. NEVER again will I use that embassy if at all possible.

If at all possible try to stay away from Sri Lanka as the embassy is honestly over run daily.
