TLDR : Answer Summary
The community discussion indicates mixed experiences regarding the use of Revolut and WISE account statements as proof of the 500,000 THB requirement for visa applications in Thailand. Many users affirm that Revolut has been accepted without issues, while WISE has faced scrutiny, with some reports of Thai immigration rejecting its use due to it not being a 'real' bank. The consensus leans towards Revolut being the safer option, while WISE's acceptance may vary depending on specific embassies or immigration offices.
I mean for example a real Canadian bank account in a real Canadian bank, same with USD Euro. it's useless to debate about this. Wise works with DTV application. The fact is that DTV is very hasardous from an embassy to the other. For now, the easiest is JAKARTA in SEA.
Debating is useless, Wise is no bank, they agree with that themselves. Because it is no bank there is no need for Thai embassies to accept money in a Wise bank account as proof of funds. The fact that some embassies accept Wise does not make an obligation for others to accept. Your statement that Wise works with DTV is incorrect. It only works when embassies voluntary accept Wise as proof of funds, the official requirements ask for a bank account.

from the comments the answer seems to be

WISE - most likely not ok

I showed proof of funds in my Wise account with no issue whatsoever. My DTV Visa was still rejected though 😜
Revolut has a full bank license in some countries,
Wise just is not a bank.
If you trust them with large amounts of money is a different case, and I would not consider 500K THB as a large amount of money anyway.

They are not banks so the answer is maybe, it will depend on whether the embassy you apply via will accept them. There was a report yesterday of Thai immigration refusing to accept Wise for an extension to the DTV
They ask for a bank account, when they accept Wise, they can accept any company or private person where you can park money that is accessible immediately.
Yes, I used Revolut from London and was approved with no request for additional info. But recently someone in Chiang Mai had their extension rejected using wise, IO told her it’s not a real bank 🤷♂️
seems there’s more scrutiny with the extensions. No one has mentioned getting rejected using wise or Revolut for their initial application. But you are right it’s technically not a proper bank
