TLDR : Answer Summary
Obtaining a Thai tourist visa in Phnom Penh appears to be manageable, with some users suggesting that using an agent can ease the process. Key requirements include filling out a specific form, which can be downloaded online, and providing necessary documentation when submitting the application at the embassy. The processing time is typically four working days. While direct visa on arrival information was not confirmed, users noted that a non-O visa is easier for certain applications than a tourist visa. There were discussions about the potential challenges faced at the embassy, including visa denials. For users looking to open a bank account in Thailand, some mentioned that having a non-O visa might make this easier. Recommendations for agents were provided, which could help facilitate obtaining the visa and completing documentation.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.

That's the only place I've ever had problems. They denied my visa application but still glued the visa in my passport and stamped a big red DENIED text over it, so I had to get a new passport.
Well, thanks for your information, and energy. However, I have no clue as to how to check message requests? I dont think it really matters.
I do want to say thanks Brandon to you, and others in the group. Mainly your replies since Ive joined have been great and extremely helpful. I know there are likely changes that are about to take place, re: visas.
I.ll be really trying to get a bank account open this next trip. Since I wont have time to rent a place yet, I.ll visit some of the agents Ive noted here in the group, and see if they can get me a bank account with a TM 30 from a hotel.
no, the day of collection they only had one guy sitting in the counter handing out the passports and refusing to talk to you because so many people were waiting for their passports.
2 other people got denied too and none of us got an explanation. That's normal in most countries, but it was the fact that they put a visa in my passport and stamped it with a denied-text that was my issue.
Yes, they did, but I didn't really understand. It had something to do with not having a document they wanted at the time but it wasn't listed on their website as a required document that I had prepared for my application. It seemed rather shady. I simply returned to Thailand on a tourist visa and applied again from another embassy and had no problem.
I.ll do the application from an agency Ive used before.
Cheers

Yes we got one a few weeks ago, it is not online you need to fill in the form that you can download and attach the required documentation. You drop at the embassy in the morning and pick up 4 working days later, that was for a 60 day tourist visa. If it just the tourist visa you do not need an agent.

This is apparently the PP Thai embassy info, from this site actually. I.m curious myself, as I live in PP, but I.m going to Thailand in Sept with the intention of opening a bank account.
Which visa do you think will be the best to open a bank account? ( My understanding a lease is step one, however, with an agent's assistance can a bank account be made while staying in a hotel?
Can you still do visa on arrival, going next Sunday 🤔

yes, use an agent thou < recommend Cina travel on street 130 or Lucky Lucky motorcycle on Monivong as it saves the hassle of visiting the embassy 2x> $60
