TLDR : Answer Summary
The stamping of 'void' on a Thai visa after it has been granted indicates that there may have been issues with the application, documentation, or subsequent reviews by the consulate or embassy. Various commenters shared experiences of similar situations, highlighting that it could be due to lacking paperwork, prior immigration issues, or specific consulate policies, especially for applicants from countries with high rates of overstaying. The process often involves third-party agencies like VFS, which could complicate communications regarding visa approvals or denials.

Means "it is not valid." They have probably found a record against you shortly after they have issued the visa.

Sam Khan Visa is expected to be the actual permission to enter a country. If this is the case, it is good impression for a country to correct a faulty procedure.

The conditions are bad in Pakistan, too many people have entered into Thailand and started to work illegally at Indian or Pakistani restaurants. Maybe this chap is legit but no one can change the mindset or decision taken by the Thai consulate.

VFS is a 3rd party agency who work on behalf of the Thai embassy. The docs are submitted at vfs and then sent to embassy in Pakistan. So they didn't approve his visa.

Ahhh, that explains it, they submit the paperwork thru VFS who forwards it to the consulate. Certainly sounds plausible

There is any number of reasons that the visa would be voided, but usually when you're applying at a thai consulate they're pretty good about checking your paperwork..

Did you have a backpack with you. Lol. But seriously, could the near expiration date be a reason. I see August 20 something on it.

I have seen this happen a few times. Evidently the people processing the visa applications think everything is okay,

BUT

the person who needs to sign off on the visa doesn't think it is.

Because the visa sticker is already stuck in the passport they put VOID on it instead. I honestly don't have a better answer :/

No refund :/ That's what's good about the thai consulates in neighboring countries, IF you don't have the right paperwork or something they won't take your application or money

, what consulate did you use. Most of the thai consulates in S/E Asia won't even accept your application or your money.
