Hi, i have a question? Today i went to pick up my Turist visa at Ho Chi Minh. And they put visa into passport and VOID stamps. ( Slovenian)

Then i went to the airport and they said i cant fly to Thailand. They ask me to go back to embassy and ask for the reason why i got void. I had a proof of onwars travel aftwe 60 days to cambodia.

I have all my personal stuff in Thailand tbis is wby i want to enter back and then after 30 days fly back to my home country.

Anyone had this experiance before?

What would be best to do?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user encountered issues with their tourist visa at the airport after it was stamped VOID in Ho Chi Minh. Although they had proof of onward travel to Cambodia, the airline denied them boarding due to concerns stemming from the VOID stamp and remarks in their passport. Various comments suggest that the visa situation could indicate difficulties with future visa applications, and the user was advised to check airline requirements for onward travel to Thailand.

small point

If you want to fly to Bangkok on visa exempt entry, your airline may want to see your onward ticket within 30 days - in your case you have one after 60days.

I check and they say at embassy it should be fine ans they even put stamp into passport i cam stay 30 days and my brother got the visa dor 2 months and they write remark that in the future he maybe will get rejected for turist visa. And she say at embassy its OK he can get in. But Air Asia would not give us the tickets. My brother got the ticket and was ready to go and than he was waiting me and they come and take his passport and ticket and say he canot go that they have 1 person last week with the same remark that was rejected in BLK by Immigration.

there is no problem getting IN to thailand with that "travels to thailand on a tourist visa many times could be rejected" stamp in your passport. That just means you can't use that thai consulate to get another tourist visa from. It has nothing to do with whether you will get into the country or not.

And you didn't check your passport at the embassy before you left?

Seems to be a new one, the airline not allowing him to fly out due to the cancelled visa? Perhaps they have had enough of flying people back again.

Perhaps they are wanting to see a confirmed ticket OUT of Thailand?

One thing IS for sure. There is a whole new ball game opening up when it comes to being able to fly to Thailand with remarks in a passport or on a visa.
Biff *******
I'm impressed that you managed to get that meaning from those words.
Ron *******
@Biff ******
they quoted the remark on the visa as a reason not to let him board.
Biff *******
Probably didn't let them fly due to no ticket out of Thailand within 30 days of arrival, not the cancelled visa.

What is happening is they are trying to stop people from living here on back-2-back tourist visas, visa exempt entries etc.

You can certainly try to get a new tourist visa from another consulate.
Tod *********
okay it is not uncommon for some consulates to put the tourist visa in your passport then put a VOID without predijuce stamp on it. It's just what they do. It has NOTHING to do with whether you can come back to thailand on a visa exempt entry, OR get a new visa from another consulate.

I had a similar experience. I got the visa but I was denied entry and sent back to Spain, I got all my stuff in Bangkok and waiting for new year so I can go to pick it up, hopefully

At Air Asia at first my brother get the airplane ticket and was alowed to go. But than he was waiting me they come and take his ticket and passport and say he canot go that one person was rejected 1 week ago because the put a remark on visa: that he might me rejected for another visa in the future because traveling on turist visa but this one is 2nd one.

No reason just say you will be rejected but at embassy they say its OK he can come into Thailand with this remark. That only means that maybe he will not get turist visa next time.

I am so confused about " put visa into the passport and void stamp". Doesn't that mean you don't have visa? As citizen of Slovenia, I think you can enter under Visa Exemption Rule, right? Why they won't let you even fly to Thailand. You don't even need a visa to fly out of Vietnam with Slovenia passport. Also if you really just want to go into Thailand and pack your things and go home, I think you can just show them a ticket that you will be leaving Thailand in few days and you might have a shot at the airport. The key point is that you have lost your credibility with Thailand government (Immigration Department), so you have to work extra hard to regain that trust.

they always put a visa and stamp it void if the visa hasn’t been approved.
Jari ************
I think the airline wants to see a ticket out of Thailand within 30 days.

You say you want to pack your stuff so I guess you we’re living there on tourism visa...

Your only chance at this point is to try to cross the land border... Laos Vientiane ... they will give you only 15 days if they accept to let you enter the country. If they don’t , you just walk back to Laos and try to find another way.

Make sure to have the 20.000 bahts cash on you plus onward flight ticket plus hotel reservation.

But remember that only the immigration officer you will see that day can decide if you can go in or not.

Nothing is sure.. specially with the VOID in your passport now.

please don’t answer if you don’t know

Yikes, lots of wrong information.

1. They only allow 2 border crossing by land each year. Not 2 border crossings plus an additional 15 days. If the OP tries to enter on a visa exempt, they will get rejected. EDIT: A person CAN Get a Visa On Arrival, if they are from certain countries, that are good for 15 days. To my knowledge, it's not one or another - A person's passport is valid for either visa exempt, OR visa on arrival. A person can get unlimited visa on arrivals, I believe.

2. It is *possible* that the OP could go and try to get a tourist visa in Vientiane, and can enter via Friendship Bridge by land.

3. It is possible the OP can try and get a new passport to "wipe the slate clean", for gettinga visa purposes. It will not prevent the immigration officer at the border from knowing the OP's prior history.

What is your visa history?

I came back to thailand in April with a visa from my country and i did 2 border crossings by land.

I also have my brother with me who only got his 3rd visa now and he got only warning written on his visa but still denied entry.
Nick *******
Did you had back to back tourist visas? That could be the reason why yours got VOID.

I have had few of tourist visas and my plan was to go back to bkk and fly home after that to get a proper ED Visa.
