TLDR : Answer Summary
When arriving in Bangkok, you primarily need to show your passport. It's recommended to have your DTV (Digital Tourist Visa) and TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) readily available, either as printed documents or on your mobile device. Immigration officials will have your information in their system once you present your passport, but carrying a printout or screenshot of your DTV and TDAC can be beneficial. Additionally, it's advisable to keep around 20,000 baht (or equivalent) cash on hand, as this may be requested for verification. Always check the stamp in your passport to confirm the correct duration of your stay.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

I arrived after a short break in Vietnam recently. They wanted to see everyone’s TDAC. You’ll need that, your e visa printed and your passport. I have heard of them asking for onward flight and financial details but didn’t see that happen.

As long as you have entered your DTV no in the box marked "Visa" on your online TDAC form up to 3 days prior to your arrival, then just show your passport. The IO has everything on the screen in front of him..just check the stamp before leave immigration to ensure it's for 6 months. Enjoy, keep life simple

John Hampton the visa number is no mandatory field in the TDAC and can be left empty, as is the departure field, NOT mandatory

have a printout of your DTV at hand, along with your passport. Once they have scanned your passport, they will see you got a TDAC. It is good, however, to have a screenshot of the TDAC in your mobile. And don't forget: When you get your passport handed back, immediately check if you got stamped in correctly for 180 days (sometimes they stamp people in wrongly)

No you won’t need it if it has been sent to you by email, they already have it o your profile

In fact they already have all your info when they scan your passport

The days of bullshitting at the immigration desk are pretty much over

Just show your passport, once checked they'll automatically know you have a DTV. It's also a good idea to have a copy 🤓

This is a requirement for visa-exempt entries and not visa holders. All visa holders have already provided financial verification.

Ian Morrison it is a requirement for tourism entries actually and the DTV is a type of tourist visa ;)
