Hi, what are the required documents to obtain a certificate of residence in Bangkok. I want to have all my bases covered the first time I go to immigration. I have a Non O Visa. Is there one specific immigration office I need to go to?
Answer summary
To obtain a certificate of residence in Bangkok with a Non O Visa, you will need to visit the main immigration office at Chaeng Watthana. Required documents typically include the TM30 form, a lease agreement, a signed copy of the landlord's ID, and your passport. It's advisable to prepare for two trips: one for the application and another to collect the certificate. Additionally, a passport photo may be required, and having copies of other related documents like your rental agreement or previous TM forms can be beneficial.

I take copy Tm30 and my passport, that was enough last time but you might need lease/hotel booking, I take that and my last tm47 as well as copy of passport bio page and last entry, I never show those but you never know better to take than to have to come back,at the first visit they will give you a receipt with a date to come back

Be prepared for a second trip.

Your particular situation might have something unexpected.

You must go to the main immigration at Chaeng Watthana. In Bangkok you can make an appointment as well, which will speed things up.

I've never obtained a residence certificate from this office so I can't say what the requirements are, but do be aware that you will have to make 2 trips out there. The first trip is to apply, and the 2nd trip is to pick it up a week later. They stopped mailing them out a few months ago.
