A real newbie question: Iโm in Phuket and will be doing my first 90 day report on a retirement visa obtained in country. What do I need to bring with me besides my passport with the right stamps?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To complete your first 90-day report for a retirement visa in Phuket, you need to bring your passport with the relevant stamps, the TM6 departure card, any TM30 receipt, a filled TM47 90-day report form, and a slip showing your next appointment or receipt for your 90-day report. At most locations in Phuket, especially using the drive-through, only your passport may be required, and staff will advise you if anything else is needed.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.

For the Phuket drive-through only your passport with 90 day report receipt/next appointment slip.

...and the tm-6 departure card. But since all those things are stapled into my passport I just hand over my passport at the drive-through. Takes about 5 minutes.
It's been a while since I had to do my first one, so I don't know. Now I use the online reporting facility, but I did have to use the drive-through for my first report after I got my new passport.
I would be inclined to try the drive-through. If more is needed they will tell him. Also, they tend to put the friendliest staff on the drive-through lane because they want it to be a success. Have always received friendly and prompt service from them using the drive-through. Worst case they will want him to go inside and fill out more paperwork.

Passport, TM6 departure card, TM30 receipt, the little paper that says you have your first 90 day report due and a filled out TM47 90day report form
you should have this paper in your passport

You cannot get a retirement visa in Thailand. Only from overseas. You can however, get a extension of stay based on being over 50 years of age.

Paul Darby non O-A outside Thailand and Non O in Thailand both with retirement extension? So either way not really called Retirement Visa yet serves same purpose?

Paul You absolutely can get a Non-O based on retirement inside Thailand.
You CAN get a 90 day non-O visa inside the country based on being over 50 (retirement) at the immigration office inside the country and then after that get a yearly extension of stay based on the same thing.
i got my original Non-O 90 day visa in 2009 and I have been getting yearly extensions on it one after another based on retirement at the immigration office since then. You can do it every year as long as you meet the requirements each time
Thanks Tod. So I take it I can arrive with a visa waiver ( ex aus ) then rock along to immigration and get a 90 day non-0 and then extend for a year each year. I have a Thai bank account, do I just keep a certain amount of baht in there permanently which keeps Immigration happy?
you are right thought you can't get a year retirement VISA inside the country, you get that in your country before you wing your way here.
I think what the O/P has is what I outlined, they got a 90 day Non-O and then they got the year extension and together they're calling all of it a "retirement visa" ๐

Nothing. Drive through in Phuket town quickest, but you can do at Patong Beach or Blue Tree too

In Pattaya immigration as of my last report does not have a form. Just come with your passport
