TLDR : Answer Summary
For your first 90-day check-in on a Non-OA retirement visa in Thailand, you typically need to bring the following documents: your passport, a copy of your passport ID and entry stamp, the TM30 receipt (address registration with immigration), and the filled TM47 form. Requirements can vary by immigration office, so it's advisable to confirm with your local office. In Phuket, you might only need your passport, as some users reported that additional documents may not be required. Also, check your passport for paperwork related to your next reporting due date after your visit.

I did my first 90 day report recently at Patong immigration office. I took my address registration paperwork just in case but all they wanted was my passport. What I didn't realise, is that you just go to the side door and give your passport, then wait while they check and stamp it for you, then they bring it back outside to you. So, you don't need to go in the front door. I arrived around 1pm and was probably there no longer than 10 minutes. Before you leave, just double check your passport has the paperwork attached for when your next report is due.

When I did my first 90 day report in Phuket ,you had to turn up in person with passport and TM- 30 or house blue book at Phuket town Immigration office ,after that can do online application

You have to ask your local immigration office as those requirements vary. Some offices require you to bring your passport only, while other require more documents.

You better have TM30 receipt.

These general documents you need for the first 90 days report:

- copy of Passport ID, stamps, visa pages. and original

- TM30 receipt

- filled TM.47 original

- copy of departure card (TM.6) (if you entered by land)

TM30 not needed for first 90 day report in Phuket - reporting in person. It would be needed to file online.

what is the best way to file a 90 day report in Phuket. He is a Volunteer Expat on the Thai Immigration office staff in Phuket.

@James *******
There is an office on the beach road in Patong. They can file there. Less busy is the office at Blue Tree but as they’re in Patong already they might as well file there.

You can do it online or in person.

Make sure you have a TM30 address registration on file with Thai Immigration.

that is what it says...but others have reported it to be accepted online for the first time . Try it and see if it's accepted. If not... then visit your local Thai Immigration office.
