What steps should I take to stay in Thailand permanently after my Non-O visa expires?
Hi People, My Non O visa expires on 7th Jan 2026, what is the next stage to remain here in Thailand on a permanant basis.
I have sufficient funds in the bank for over the last 2 months.
I have a TM 7, but is that the correct form to stay here.

On what basis was the non o issued? Marriage or retirement? The TM7 is one form you need, but depending on the type of visa ext your on will depend what you need. Also visit your immigration they can give you the requirements and you can pick up other forms.

Do what others say, and go to y'r imm. office. E.g. this is the handout for Korat imm. But some imm. offices have a bit different 'rules'. Good luck 🙏

if you can afford it just pay good agent and they do it for you, its worth ur time and stress. Stay home chill vs u spend half day in immigration.

no, a 1-year extension of the stay permit out of a former Non-O/A must be made on Immigration inside Thailand. Only if one wants to go from the first year out of a Non-O/A visa into a "second year", it is done by a border run shortly before the O/A visa validity expiresColin **********

that's what I'm planning to do, I was just looking up the options from anyone with previous experience in pattaya immigration. I think I have it covered. Just the medical to complete and my bank letter on the day of application.
