I have a non b valid until 8th July. I then need to get the extension based in employment. When do I need to go to immigration to apply? What do I need to take?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for an extension of your NON-B visa based on employment, you can start the application process 30 days prior to the expiration date, which in your case is until 8th July. You should visit the immigration office within that 30-day window. Make sure to gather the necessary documentation, including paperwork from your employer, which may involve tax payments, social security obligation payments, and company-related documentation.

I will do. Thank you.

If you go in advance, ask for the hand out with requirements. Always easy to just check the list if all is there.

You get the application form from Immigration, the requirements like tax payments, sso payments, thai staff, shareholders of company etc from your employer.

Should they have the paperwork or do I need to get it from Immigration?

You can apply for Extension of Stay based on employment from 30 days before the last day of you Admitted to Stay. You need help from your employer with the paper work.
