Applying online for an ED visa for my 6yo son at an international school.  He is a US passport holder, at the Chicago Consulate.  I've contacted them multiple times with no answer to the following questions and am wondering if anyone can help:  What documentation is required "financial evidence" as well as "For a minor under 20 years old"?

Thank you so much. Extremely helpful response. We will not be applying for a guardian visa, only the ED visa for my son. Do you know if a recent bank statement in my name is sufficient for the financial evidence?

totally okay that the bank statement is in your name, just make sure you include a copy of the birth certificate too (to show he IS your son)

Thank you for your response. Is it ok if the bank statement is in *my name*, rather than my 6 year old son's name (he is the one applying for a visa - not me)? That is my primary question. Or do I need to open a bank account in his name?
