What documents are required for a DTV visa from Dubai to Thailand?
Sharing to help others - applied from Dubai UAE
Applied on 27th April, additional docs requested 1st May, visa approved 7th May!
Documents:
- passport
- employment contract from MOHRE
- signed letter from CEO approving remote work and not involvement in Thai employment
- proof of 500,000 in uk account held for 4 years
- proof of 500,000 in UAE account for 6 months
- payslips for last 6 months
- proof of bank statements (highlight pay transactions)
- cover letter explaining why I’m remote working & have no plans of working there
- proof of location (utility bill & residency in Dubai)
Was very straight forward despite all the stories I’d read of Dubai being very slow!

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.
That's what you should do... print it out.
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

Thank you for this. Although the funds have been available in my investing account for well over a year I have no moved them to my actual bank account. I wonder if I was to prove how long they were in the I vesting account t itself along with a bank statement proving the funds are now readily available if that would work or not I wonder? I am also Dubai based

I only moved the 500k that is needed into my bank

IMO Dubai is very straightforward if documents are submitted correctly. I also got from Dubai without any complications.
