A user successfully obtained a DTV visa in London, detailing the documents required such as a limited company certificate, bank statement, council tax proof, passport, picture, along with unbooked flight and hotel details. The process was relatively straightforward. Other commenters shared their experiences, highlighting variations in document requirements across different embassies, discussions about proof of funds, and the challenges faced during the application process.
i sent in a bankstatement of my savings account. Its an online bank so it shows the last transactions which is not much. They could see that the money was un already many months
Netherlands did not even ask for flight number and proof of stay.
They asked for address in Thailand, I send bank statement as proof of funds and proof of location and employment contract, passport and picture. Applied last Friday. Yesterday got question for extra letter from employer that I can work from abroad.
Today approved, also very easy.
Only thing I wonder about is the exchange rate for the visa fee,
Different embassies ask for different things. Tokyo asks for the same stuff that you have been asked for plus a 15 day hotel booking and proof of booked flights.
Have to book 15 days in Thailand. Tokyo Thai Embassy is for residents only DTV applicants. Many other embassies do not require physical proof of a hotel booking.
ok, as long as you have what they request you will be fine.

Congratulation. The Netherlands keepster asking for more documents. On me allowed to work remote. Signed letter and contract from a cliënt. My business registration at centre of commerce. Now they ask for the regestration of my cliënt 😪
I bet if you apply in Kuala Lumpur, maybe your docs would be sufficient. Different embassies, different interpretations. But it's an expensive way to find out. The application fee is not refundable
In Kuala Lumpur you can not apply for e-visa with Dutch passport, and I think without Malaysian passport in Kuala Lumpur it is only possible to apply for tourist visa.
different country different rules. The Netherlands are very strict. I need to sent a document of the chamber of commerce from a client i already sented the contract. And the client needed to write and sign a letter that i am allowed to work remote. Lots of double check. I sent all in so now approved
ah sorry, I misread what is... I'm also preparing my application, and in here it's either that certificate or a job contract that stipulates you can work remotely.
It means he has a company in his/that country registered under his name.

sorry I’ll correct my question as I know it’s a five year visa - I’m just wondering how far in advance to apply for the DTV for me - so with yours is the a time limit on when you first use it? Or are you saying can use anytime up to five years. Apologies if this sounds like a numpty question but my METV I had this year had to be used within 6 months for my first entry
yes this is what I want to know too is it 5 years from the date they issue or 5 years from the date you enter Thailand? We watched a YouTube video and the guy from the Thai embassy said 5 years from date of entrance but Im still sceptical
