good morning, I have a question on the DTV.

I am Italian citizen, 55yo, regularly employed in Germany with good income, can I apply for a DTV in order to have a visa which allow me to stay in Thailand for 120-150 days a year?

Is there any other requirement rather than to prove that I have a job with a sufficient income, in my home country?

TLDR : Answer Summary
An Italian citizen, aged 55 and employed in Germany, inquired about applying for a DTV visa to stay in Thailand for 120-150 days per year. Commenters clarified that income and job status are not qualifications for a DTV. There are two qualification methods: participating in soft power activities in Thailand or being a full-time remote worker with employer permission to work from Thailand. Another commenter shared their experience of obtaining a DTV by setting up an LLC and demonstrating their project portfolio.

I got a dtv visa. I set up an llc for $50. Created a portfolio about my project using chatgpt. Submitted bank statements, llc certification, company portfolio created using chatgpt. I was approved from Chicago consulate

In my company I am allowed to work remotely. (Home office). If my company states this possibility, would it be sufficient or it has to provide more details? In other words, I am not a full time remote working but I can remote work

Income is not a qualification for DTV.

Having a job is not a qualification for DTV.

There are only 2 ways to qualify for DTV.

One is through a soft power activity in Thailand (Muay Thai, Thai Cooking, Medical treatment, etc).

The other is workcation, which means you are a full time remote worker and your company has specifically given you permission, in writing, to work in Thailand.
