Hi everyone.

We are a family of three, husband, wife and 19 year-old daughter who would like to apply for a DTV visa.

We have the sufficient funds in an international bank account.

What is the cheapest and safest option?
Answer summary
A family of three is looking for the most affordable and secure method to apply for a DTV visa. They have sufficient funds in an international bank account. Community members suggest applying independently, as many have successfully received their visas quickly. However, concerns arise about the eligibility of their 19-year-old daughter, as certain comments indicate she may no longer be considered a dependent after turning 20. Additionally, one recommendation includes a culinary program that provides visa sponsorship. Overall, various opinions highlight the ease and safety of applying directly while addressing the unique situation of their daughter's age.

Your problem is going to be your daughter. Once kids hit 20 years of age they can no longer be your dependant

apparantly if I apply while she’s 19 it will be fine. To be confirmed.

really? Where did you get that information?

I would expect them to either not issue a DTV at all or issue one that expires on her 20th birthday, and even if they do issue it she will not be in Thailand legally once she hits 20. Aged 20 she can of course apply for her own visa, of her own choosing

Doing it by yourself is easiest way. We are also family of three, applied directly and got it approved within a week. Our 2nd year now in Phuket on DTV 🙌

could you give me some guidance, please?

I would begin with sorting the documents.

Income:

Bank statement/pay slip

Employment:

Letter from employer/self allowing you to work from Thailand

Cover letter:

Explaining the purpose such as travel, explore local cuisine and culture, etc.

Legal documents like valid passport

Any additional documents such as business registration/portfolios/investments on top of 500,000 baht will make your case stronger.

Last: I will select an embassy or consulate based on convenience and success rate(study this group)

Once all sorted, I will begin my application. Review all the information before submitting.
