What documents do you need for 30 day tourist visa extension and is there only one immigration office in Bangkok that you can go to to extend?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend a 30-day tourist visa in Thailand, you may go to any immigration office that services the address you are using. Each immigration office in Thailand corresponds to a specific area; for example, the main immigration office in Bangkok will only process applications using a Bangkok address. The documents typically required for the extension include your passport, completed application form, and a fee, along with any other necessary supporting documents. It's important to note that various immigration offices can handle visa extensions outside of the main office in central Bangkok.

If you're on a visa exempt or a tourist visa entry you can go to any immigration office you want to as long as you use an address in the zone which the immigration office services.

You can't go to the main immigration office in Bangkok and use an address from Samut Prakan, because they have their own immigration office. You'd need to use a bangkok address..

Thanks Tod. How about once on an ED visa, will I need that TM.30 form for anything? I live in Bangkok at On Nut. Only reason I ask is that my landlord doesn't live in Bangkok and not sure how easy it would be to get IF I need it.

Every province has an Immigration Office where you can apply for extensions if you plan to travel outside Bangkok.
