Arrived in January and planning on doing a 90 day report next month and wondering if I go there early enough could I also get a 180 day DTV extension? Are they even done at the same place? Hopefully its all within the same area where you get tourist visa extensions.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user wants to know if they can apply for a 180-day DTV extension while also doing a 90-day report in Thailand. Comments indicate that extensions depend on how close you are to the expiration of your current visa, typically only within 30-45 days. Most immigration offices have specific guidelines, and the DTV extension process may require multiple visits.

An extension can only be done when you have 30-45 days or less left on your permission to stay stamp, 45 days at some major immigration offices. So no, you'll need to wait about another couple months.

The DVT extension of stay for 180 days is not all done with one visit with your Thai Immigration office. Application will be placed "Under Consideration" to report back to the immigration office in 21 days.

Easier to leave the country and reenter

You cannot extend until like 2-4 weeks before your stamp expires. Depends on the immigration office so. But definitely not after 90 days.

Also depends on the office if its the same place as the tourist extension.

You’d probably need to specify what immigration office you intend to use. There’s over 80 of them.
