Hi,

I’m confused about what it is i need to enter Thailand. Can someone please list out what documents are needed please?

Also, is it possible to stay in Thailand for 6 months, and if so which visa is this?

Can anyone recommend a company who can help with visa and visa extensions?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarity on the documentation required to enter Thailand, specifically what visas allow for a stay of 6 months, and if there are companies recommended for visa assistance. Commenters provide insights on various visa types: a Tourist Visa (TR) allows a stay of up to 60 days, with a possible extension, while a Special Tourist Visa can extend to 9 months with necessary paperwork. It's important to check the Thai Embassy website for specific requirements based on nationality and recent updates. Users also express caution regarding visa agents and suggest gathering information directly from reputable sources.

reason will be for travelling only no working. It’s a back up plan if we can’t travel Asia come March (which is when we leave Indonesia) to go to another country eg. Thailand. And ride out a few months in hopes we can travel. Still hoping the situation will be better come March and it will be easier to move through countries! 🤞

Depending on your nationality you can enter on visa exemption.

So you can stay 2 months for sure.

After 2 months you eventually can apply for the covid extention if it is still available at the time.

So right now theoretically it is possible to stay 6 months going this route.

Curious, looking at your photos, how long has it been since you came in on a tourist visa?

Not 6 months, continuously. Unless you have a long-stay Visa. You can technically leave and come back every on 60-90 days visas. But that looks sketchy to Immigration. They look for it.

If you do stay 6 months in any ROLLING 12 months. That is all you can stay.

To be fair this is all on the Thai Embassy websites in your country which you don't state

Tourist TR entey gets you 2 months 30 days + 30 days but you may also need a visa or get visa free entry depends on nationality/coming from where and must do Thailand Pass.

Special Tourist Visa gets you max 9 months. Lot of paperwork attached to this.

Try Google and the Thai Embassy site in your home country.....it is all there

Visa agents to acquire in-country visas and visa extensions are very dangerous.
