TLDR : Answer Summary
If you're looking to stay in Thailand for six months, there are several visa options available depending on your circumstances. A multiple entry tourist visa could allow you to stay a maximum of 270 days in segments of 60 days. Alternatively, if you're over 50 years old, a Non-Immigrant O visa may offer another possibility, allowing for a 90-day stay, with the potential for extensions or combination with a Single Entry Tourist visa. It's advised to explore personal eligibility requirements and possibly consult the Thai Embassy for detailed guidance.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
  • Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.

Visit the website of the Thai Embassy in London, there are several options like a multiple entry tourist visa which is valid for 6 months and gives you maximum 270 days of stay in sections of 60 days OR look at the possibilities of a Non Immigrant O visa based one being over 50 years of age, which gives you 90 days of stay and then a combination with a Single Entry Tourist visa from a Thai consulate in the area or an Extension of Stay if you like to stay longer. This is not really a page for the question, what visa is the best. There are to much personal details needed to make that decision for you, a little self investigation is needed. If you have a specific question about one visa feel free to ask again

That all depends:

1.Is this your first time coming to Thailand?

2. Are you 50 years old or older?

3. Do you have a Thai wife?

4. Do you want to work or study here?

Jerry G. Shepherd, I'm sorry, but I don't have time to walk you through each visa Thailand offers. You can go to the consultant website (Hull, I think), or go to the Thailand immigration website that outlines all the potential visas. If you see one that fits your needs, feel free to ask questions. It shouldn't be too difficult
