TLDR : Answer Summary
The user shares their experience obtaining a Digital Tourist Visa (DTV) in Jakarta, detailing the documents submitted, including a passport copy, proof of accommodation, bank statements, and a doctor's appointment confirmation. They mention the application process was quick, taking only three days. Comments from other users ask about the necessity of the doctor's appointment for the visa, the bank statement requirements, and general thoughts about expat life in Jakarta.
Did you apply in person at the Jakarta Thai embassy? Did they take your passport for the entire 3 days? Also for your bank statement did you show all your expenses or was the summary page with balance enough?

There must be something going on with this DTV visa, why are they giving people a 5 year visa for one doctor's appointment, it just seems strange ππ€£πππΉπ
powerful people with vast real estate holdings want more expats renting luxury condos, according to one theory I've heard. But you could say the same thing about people buying weed and it might be true.
I know itβs just cos I fit all the requirements and can show proof of income I just donβt have the full 500k in my bank. I can temporarily lend 500k however for the purposes of a screenshot.
I think he said he was just applying to Jakarta ,then obviously coming to stay in Thailand as it's a great country ,I lived in Indonesia for 3 yrs,Bali is ok but really Instagram tourism ,but the rest of Indo isn't really suitable for tourism as it's religious extremism is getting really horrible ,plus it's very air polluted and trash polluted ,on whole not nice and most things very difficult to get done ,just in case you were considering living there ππ½
I have queried that too. What surveillance of the conditions will prevail? If I have a medical issue and plan for treatment, does the DTV continue if the medical condition/treatment is concluded well before the 5 years and will this be checked/challenged on DTV re-entry?
