What is the process for applying for a DTV Visa for business owners at the Thai embassy in Jakarta?

DTV Visa for Business Ecommerce Business Owners in Jakarta.

So Just to add for those Applying in Person from Jakarta Consulate.

Current wait time as at 18 sep 2024 -looks like 3 Business days waiting time if you apply in person.

I Applied on a wednesday in person and that has been given a slip for a Monday collection date.

(FYI thats 3 working days )

I submitted in person at Jakarta embassy.

I submitted the completed DTV Visa Paper form (you can get this at embassy if you forget yours.)

I supplied and submitted 2 recent passport photographs as required.

I have just applied as an Ecommerce Business owner remotely operating my business .

I Submitted Official letterhead of a Work contract from My AUS company to myself with work contract details detailed.(used chat GPT To help write this)

I Submitted a To whom it may concern official company letterhead letter Giving official Company permission from my company to myself to work remotely for my Company from Thailand for 5 years duration.

I Submitted personal bank balance proof with Proof of amount required for DTV requirements.

I also asked if they needed Bank statements for 3 months they happily took those as well.

I Submitted Aus Company Registration details and a copy of registered details from the relevant official Aus authorities showing my current business Company details.

I submitted all docs and Passport in person to embassy.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Most important they don't take credit card in embassy ONLY CASH so you need to bring cash 5.6 million Cash for your fee.

There's an ATM Centre next door in the adjacent building that you can get withdraw money from if you use your card to withdraw money if needed.

Added note for the ATMs next door is they only spit out 1.25 million per time but you can do 5 transactions to get the money needed one after another . Annoying i know but if you’re in a hurry to get it out so u can get visa lodged it’s worth it for some .

Security was helpful to point this out when i was there.

Also embassy intake for visa applications is only open from

9am to 1130am MON to THURS

see image attached.

NO appointment was needed I was number 9 in cue of 11 people for that day that I applied.

Note aparently in october appointments may be required as the intake due to Jakarta being the place to apply being known now means they are going to get busier although my experience of 11 people didn’t suggest that.

This was all very quick and easy no fuss.

Other things to note……

There's 2 embassy in Jakarta but only one consulate...you need to google map search “Embassy of Thailand” and here is the correct one to go to …..

the map link for it is ....

[members only]

Correct location is close to Bellagio mall.

When you arrive security take one person at a time and will make sure you have your passport all relevant docs form photos and the right amount of cash then will security search you make you empty all pockets search all your belongings and then make you walk through a security metal detector machine.

Then when satisfied security will give you a number if you have everything and let you into the consulate where you wait for your number maybe 10 mins max was my experience.

I Will update if i needed anything more but very easy thus far as has all already been laid in this group already here before me.

UPDATE visa given all good

I got mine no problem, one issue I found was it's hard to upload information onto the application page as you can only load 1 document per section, I applied in London and they contacted me twice requiring additional info which I couldn't upload initially.
