Hello All

๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’›

I have a non-B visa (Teaching English & US Passport)

My husband has a non-O (based on marriage to me US Passport)

We received them in January 2020, our current stamp expires in February.

In addition to our documents from my employer and my work permit what will we need to obtain an extension of stay in Chiang Mai (i.e. photos, forms etc.) please?

I would also like to confirm the price for an extension of stay in Chiang Mai is 1900 baht per person please?

Any additional advice or updates are always appreciated

๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’›

Thank you in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the necessary documents and costs to extend a Non-B visa for teaching English and a Non-O visa based on marriage in Chiang Mai. They confirmed that the extension fee is 1900 baht per person and asked for specific documents needed for the extension. A respondent advised visiting the immigration office for accurate requirements and mentioned the possibility of needing employer documentation for both visas.

I would wager neither of you have actual VISAS anymore and both of you are on 'extensions of stays' from the immigration office.

I'd go to the immigration office and get the hand out of what you will need. For sure you will need documentation from your employer to get another year extension based on employment, and I also believe you will need the employer to state it's okay that your spouse gets an extension piggy backed off yours (trailing spouse extension).

OR

Post on a Chiang Mai group and see what people up there say. Personally I'd go get the hand out and talk to the immigration office in person because I would want to pull it off in one visit rather than try to apply, find out you need this, get that, go try to apply, find out you need something else.

AND

you are correct, ALL extension of stays inside the country at the immigration office cost 1900baht no matter the length of time they're issued for
