What documentation do I need for a Non-O retirement extension at Chaengwattana?

I went to CW this morning, trying to follow the advice of the moderators of this group. I was looking for the list of documentation required for non-O over 50 retirement extension of stay.

I was handed a TM 7 and some paper that’s stating my permission to stay is about to expire and I would like to extend my stay for a year. (I think).

Nobody’s offered me any other list of documentation that’s required.

I see one of the mods has recently posted a sample list. These copies you speak of. Is it one copy of each document and picture or are two required.

Honestly, the place was a zoo. Although I did find the proper place to go once I do have everything sorted

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks information on the documentation required for a Non-O retirement extension at the Chaengwattana immigration office. They received a TM 7 form but were not provided with a complete list of necessary documents amidst the office's busy environment. Community advice includes going to "Document Checking" at Section L1 for required documentation and clarifies that one passport photo is needed for the TM 7 application, with an additional photo required for a re-entry permit. The user is currently on a Non-O visa set to expire on June 30th and has enough time to gather documents for the extension.

okay, got the low down, he is a canuck, he is using the embassy letter, his current Non-O entry expires on June 30th, so he has plenty of time to get the required documents together to go apply for the year extension in section L1 at Chaengwattana

to get the hand out of the requirements for the retirement extension you want to go to the FIRST cubby on the right in Section L1, that's where it says "Document Checking"

they give it out.

It's always a zoo, it's the main office in the biggest city in thailand with the largest foreign population of any city here 😛

You need ONE 4x6cm passport photo for the TM7 application <- the year extension, and you need another one if you're going to get a re-entry permit after they issue you the year extension.

What visa are you on now and when does your current stamp expire?

I ask you can go when you have 45 days or less left on your stamp to apply for a new extension and there's no reason to wait until your stamp's running out, they add the new extension to your current stamp..

has elaborated below...

Does that office offer online appointments?

If so, then make one within your timeframe, which will eliminate queueing with the masses.
