What do I need for the photos when applying for a marriage visa extension in Thailand?

Hopefully a quick question and easy answer. To apply for the extension based on marriage, I understand we need to provide a number of photos around the house (we already picked up the list from Immigration in Korat, albeit in Thai). It says one picture needs to show us with the house number, and my wife is stressing about where we get a number - none of the houses in our village have any, but we were in Ban Prasat the other day and they all had official looking plaques outside with the house number and names of the residents - she's worried we need something similar and is stressing about where to get one. Please can someone clarify what is needed? We do have a number on our house, but it's literally just numbers we bought and stuck on - nothing official.

Sorry if it's a dumb question. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a marriage visa extension in Thailand, you need to provide photos that include your house number. It is common for houses in rural areas to lack official numbering. You can use any visible house numbers you have, even if they are simply adhered numbers. Suggestions from others include making temporary signs, using cardboard with the address written on it, or even creatively painting or marking the number on existing items like a postbox. Your current makeshift number should suffice for immigration purposes.

I think OP got enough idea to his original question. How to get a house number visible is not really Thai Visa advice. Thank you for your help everyone.

I painted the address numbers onto the postbox outside the house at the road

That's all I did was stick numbers on my wall.

And I use same photos for the past 10yrs.

I'm in Chiang Mai

We wrote the address on a piece of cardboard and held it in our hands for the picture

Homepro has house numbers. I made a placard a few years back, though I was working on some wood working projects at the time.

I painted our house number on the old house plaque for the photos lol

We had a local shop make one up, you don't get one from the local Amphur office, for example

Use a felt marker if you have to.

If your house is 25 Soi mooban, just get the numbers 2&5 from global, stock them on the door then you stand one either side & take the photo.

Immigration will probably want to come round & see everything anyway.

Good luck!

That will be totally FINE to just stick numbers on your house and have you both stand in front of them to get the photo.

thanks a lot - much appreciated for the quick response - she's been searching everywhere to find out where we get the official plaque. ๐Ÿ‘

@Martin ****
there is no official plaque that I know of.

Just get numbers at a hardware store, Home Pro, Thai Watsadu, or Boonthavorn ๐Ÿ˜›

Believe me you are not the first person who doesn't have house numbers up country ๐Ÿ˜‰ It'll be okay. (y)
